Assistive Software

The application of information technology to disability support is often seen as and end in itself. This has lead to a signification expenditure on software which, after installation, is rarely used and deserves the lable of "shelfware". In many cases it is not the software that is at fault, but the implementation of the change.

Although assistive technology can be essential to provide access to information in some cases, in many others it is how the information is used that is key.

An Integrated Process

The clear advantage of working with an integrated approach from assessment to coaching is that we have a clear view of what the client is aiming to achieve and an independent view of the best technology to do that. Communication between the assessor, trainer, coach and management is a natural part of that process.
